The Tourism BEE Charter Council has been established to drive the implementation of the Tourism BEE Charter. The Council is your partner and enabler in your transformation processes and provides many opportunities to compliant and emerging businesses. The Tourism BEE Charter Council develops and implements a number of initiatives to help companies comply with the Charter, to grow emerging companies and to attract innovation and growth in the sector.

Mandate

The following tasks are the mandate of the Tourism BEE Charter Council:

facilitate the communication and popularisation of the Charter and the Scorecard
facilitate certification by DTI whose entities comply with the Charter
facilitate incentives for tourism enterprises to comply and become certified
compile annual report on the Tourism Sector progress
develop framework and capacity for the Charter implementation
facilitate implementation off innovative programmes to fast-track transformation
advise minister on BEE related legislative and regulatory developments
